Idea: Amiga EmuPoker - new way to trade

Here's a new multiplayer game idea for Sane when he has nothing to do.

Basically, it's multiplayer online poker where the ante consists of ADF/DMS disks. Each player approves the ante just to make sure that no one tries to upload Speed Ball II, etc. Each player would then upload their ADF to the server while playing poker. The winner would then get the pot and be free to download it all.

There could be different tables, such as Demo Disks, or a High Rollers table for the guys who have 900+ cds of stuff and only accept the most obscure stuff.

I know I should be doing other things with my time, but I like this idea!

We know who your are DPainter, it says it right there above your picture

Big grin

Wow you've just invented the Amiga software piracy version of Napster with a built in card game to play while you download. what about adding a chat room and a o top trumps table (winner takes all).

j/k

It's not just to get ADFs, but to chat and have fun while sharing them. 56k users, of course, could pay a monthly fee and have a CD sent to them containing all of their winnings.

(On a side note: How come my iced cafe Americanos from StarBucks always have a strange slimy texture in the last few straws? It can't possibly be a StarBucks policy to spit into every cafe Americano!?!??):disgusted

I think if you were going to consider using the zone it would put a large workload on the server not to speak of the bandwidth if someone were to start playing with rare ADFs.

I think the zone already takes a good bit of bandwidth.

It meant "Just kidding". I wanted to show that I was being sarcastic, an unfortunate part of British humour that some times seems malicious when conveyed by the written word.
