Tetren (1992)
------------- Year of the first release : 1992 Number of disks (or CD) : 1 Number max of players : 2 Simultaneous max players : 2 Language : English Hardware : OCS-ECS Amiga original game : yes Have SPS release : no WHD install : no HD install : yes - copy files to directory and assign to TETREN: License : PD/Freeware Publisher : Developer : Andrew Whiteley Category : Puzzle/Tetris Artist - coder : Andrew Whiteley Artist - graphician : Mark Whiteley Artist - musician : Mike Kingham Artist - misc : Rupert Hart Notes : Programmed in AMOS game/think/tetren.lha ------------------- from aminet readme ------------------- Short: Very original and popular Tetris clone Author: Andy Whiteley Uploader: Andy wwhse (Andy Whiteley) Type: game/think Architecture: m68k-amigaos This version is compatible with all Amigas. There are over 25 original and taxing levels for one or two players. Based on the arcade version of Tetris, you must complete each level before proceeding to the next. As you progress, the levels become more difficult and things begin to happen. The game includes great SFX and GFX as well as 8 original and addictive tunes to play to. This file can either be unpacked onto an installed floppy disk called 'TETREN:' or onto your hard-disk drive, so long as you assign 'TETREN:' to the relevant path. -------------------- Tetren !! Fatal Mission 1 (1991)(Robin Burrows) PD
--------------------- Year of the first release : 1991 Number of disks (or CD) : 1 Number max of players : 2 Simultaneous max players : 2 Language : English Hardware : OCS-ECS Amiga original game : yes Have SPS release : no WHD install : yes. Aminet release is HD installed version (not listed on the whdload site though) HD install : ? License : PD/Freeware Publisher : Developer : Robin Burrows Category : Horizontal Shoot 'em up Artist - coder : Robin Burrows Artist - graphician : Robin Burrows, Steven Huckle Artist - musician : Robin Burrows Artist - misc : Notes : needs 1Mb CHIP to run ------------------------------------------------------- From authors website at :- http://tilemap.co.uk/fm1.html ------------------------------------------------------- A horizontal scrolling space shootemup, one long(ish) level. The first game is not that good technically, it is difficult, you have to be in the right places and you have a limit of two of your bullets on screen at once, so if you are at the left edge firing is much slower and you can't destroy the enemy ships. Techy bits: * My first released PD game! * 25 fps update, slows down rarely on A500 * 32 colour display with copper effect on score overlay giving 40 colours * Horizontal hardware scroll, double buffered * Inefficient non-interleaved bitplanes and clipboard system * Hardware sprites used for ship attachment and player's bullets. Bullet hardware sprites are reused up to 3 times per frame * Original FM1 was on a custom disk, I rereleased it in '93 as a single file To see Fatal Mission you need 1Mb CHIP(graphics) memory on your Amiga or UAE/Fellow. There are no known faults under emulation. ---------------------- from aminet readme file ---------------------- Short: Classic PD shoot-em-up "Fatal Mission" Author: Robin Burrows Uploader: Kyzer/CSG Type: game/shoot Architecture: m68k-amigaos Fatal Mission 1 (C)1991 Robin Burrows Additional graphics by Steven Huckle. http://www.geocities.com/SiliconVall...336/robami.htm The original version of Fatal Mission 1 is included for A500 owners. For more modern Amigas, a WHDLoad slave is used to load the game: - requires WHDLoad 10.0 or better (available from www.whdload.org) - your hiscores are saved to disk - you can quit to Workbench with F10 or press RMB on the titlescreen - adding tooltype "CUSTOM1=1" gives both players infinite lives! ------------------------------------------------------------ hey cody are you getting these ? and are they alright ? If so I'll do some more when I remember some good ones. Last edited by silkworm; 28 March 2012 at 19:26. |

After all the hard work that Heavy Stylus put it to get Xenomorphs 2 full version back I think it deserves it's place in the Hall of Light for sure... I will upload what details I have of it as soon as I can but would need CJ to do his magic with the screen shots please.
