I have 2 motherboards to sell:

Abit UL8:
https://soggi.org/motherboards/abit/UL8.htm

Abit AN7:
https://soggi.org/motherboards/abit/AN7.htm

Great for building a retro machine as contain PCI and AGP including retro peripherals eg serial and parallel ports.

Let me know if anyone interested before I sell elsewhere

I am afraid it probably won't. Retro stuff only goes up...

What are you after anyway? Had a quick look around here, 486DX processors go for about 20GBP. Doesn't sound that bad...

On the other hand the RTX 3070 I paid about 600GBP in November is now worth ~1000? WTFITS? This is absolutely mental. Gives me ideas...

Oh GPU...sorry...I read CPU.

I wanted to say "look for 980Ti" but I just had a quick look and saw some for ~300GBP. This is so effin crazy

These ridiculous GPU prices will come down eventually, no doubt. I thought we're talking old tech... Best wait it out, play some retro games instead...

Also, you could consider getting from ebay a scanline generator in order to obtain scanlines with a bog-standard CRT PC monitor. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't look ugly or fake, not at all. At least, these will look more consistent compared to the ones from the various emulators out there.
Btw, you won't need floppies if BIOS settings allow you to boot from a USB device. After you have partitioned and formatted the hard drive, just gather your install files and required drivers on a USB flash drive and you should be good to go. rufus will easily mimic a bootable device in that respect.
tried with rufus and Win32DiskImager but no luck !!

Send a message via ICQ to SquawkBox
Try to plug your usb flash drive to another port (usually, ports at the back of the machine are more reliable)
or
try with a smaller flash drive e.q. 1 GB
or
Hit F11 to gain access to a quick boot menu before POST switches to user defined boot devices
