ACA 500+ and gotek question

i'm looking to get a gotek and an a ACA 500+ and was researching the gotek operation.
the part that confused a noob like me is where the youtube video showed that after selecting the order of game disks you have to reboot the amiga to start gaming which is all good.
now the question.

if you selct different kickstarts using the ACA 500+ mainly for picky games does that setting revert back to default kickstart after rebooting the amiga to start gaming after selecting the order of disks with the gotek?
i'm thinking that maybe after selecting the kickstart of choice with the ACA 500+ that the setting will stay that way until changing it but i would like confirmation from anyone who knows this stuff.
i'm a nnob sorry.
any help would be great thanks.

(If I remember correctly)
You get to choose your configuration after a hard reboot. This configuration is retained after a ctrl+A+A soft reboot. To bring up the configuration menu again, you need either a hard reset or to keep pressing the left mouse button while soft rebooting.

Edit: I have both a Gotek and the ACA500+ on my A500.

You don't have to use the selector with a gotek these days. It is possible to have a setup where you can select an arbitrary disk image on the fly by using an on screen display or a small OLED screen.

To each their own of course, but just noting that there are options.
