OS3.1.4 Kickstart ROMs on A4000T (Amiga Technologies)

Hello all,

Question 1:

Can these OS3.1.4 Kickstart ROMs be installed on my A4000T?

My A4000T original post:

https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=101640

Pictures of the system:

I have a friend who is maintaining this system for me at the moment, so I thought we might as well installed these new ROMs inside this system while we are at it.

He reports that games run TOO fast on this machine, due to 040 CPU.

Question 2:

Which version of Workbench do you recommend for the stock OS3.1? What about OS3.1.4, which workbench is suited more for these?

Thanks for your insights

Q1: Yes

Q2:
For 3.1, I recommend 3.1 or 3.9, depending on what kind of experience you are after. 3.1 for Commodore martyrdom, 3.9 if you want more of a workbench distro kind of thing.

For 3.1.4 I recommend 3.1.4.1, which is more recent than 3.9 for the most part, but is closer to 3.1 in terms of 3rd party additions that are shipped with the OS. :-)

Thank you Jope, the 3.1.4.1 Workbench floppies are included in the ROM package, correct? I love its GUI, kind of modern, but with the old retro 3.1 feel!

If you buy from that AOTL link, I assume you get physical floppies. You should also get a registration key, which you can use on Hyperion's website to get access to downloadable goodies.
