FS-UAE on Steam deck!!

Finally got it to work on my steam deck and enjoying for the first time a good portable experience of an Amiga emulator.

Just need to get rid of the FDD annoying click now !
Also the image looks a bit squished does anyone know how to correct the aspect ratio?

Neat For floppy drive sounds have a look here: https://fs-uae.net/docs/options/floppy-drive-0-sounds

As for the resolution try to use 1280x800 if you can.

nice, hoping to do the same when my time in the queue comes up sometime in the next 10 years, funny how the parts "shortage" affects all hardware manufacturers making stuff like the steam deck.....except the chinese knockoffs copying them, which seem to be appearing in massive quantities and variants..

I was lucky enough to get mine last week and I am super happy with it. Also happy I went for the 64GB version as I don't see the benefit of the premium ones.

Perfect machine for retro and current gaming - the stuff of dreams like the Amiga

Hopefully yours will come soon as I've heard news they are scaling up deliveries!

Cheers

Good to hear I would like to get my hands on a Steam Deck myself, and optimize FS-UAE for it

Was this easy to set up? I played a little with EmuDeck but this would be far better.

out of interest, how does FS-UAE handle the steam decks native resolution? i typically run FS-UAE/workbench at 1280x720 and the steam deck is 1280x800, is that resolution available for use or does it stretch to fit?

FS-UAE always adds the desktop resolution as one of the RTG resolutions, so 1280x800 should be available as an RTG mode.

(The user interface, i.e. the F12 menu, will be slightly stretched though. This is improved in FS-UAE 4)

I ordered 5 minutes after it went live - got my deck this week.

Process:

Install EmuDeck.
Install EmulationStation-DE
Dump a crapload of WHDLoad archives on the deck

RUN WHATEVER YOU WANT
