Has anyone ever converted an Amiga game to Flash?
I'm curious...
Has anyone ever converted an Amiga game to Flash? Also, if they have, or if they ever will do, do you think you'd be able to save your game in the Flash version? I don't think I've ever come across an Amiga to Flash game before, so I thought I'd ask. |

The flash games that Ironclaw did for Recorded Amiga Games have he now added to his own site.
Ruff 'n' Tumble can still be played here. |

I converted a couple to flash but never actually finished them
you can find them hidden after their cracktros here Giana sisters: http://www.flashtro.com/index.php?e=page&c=Amiga&id=42 and Leander: http://www.flashtro.com/index.php?e=page&c=Amiga&id=737 Giana is about 80-90% finished, missing music and clouds and some power ups Leander is not so well polished :P The engine can only handle up to Level4 (but only level 1 in the version I uploaded) Press the mouse button to skip the cracktros Cursor keys to move and CTRL to fire |

I wrote a version of IK+ in Flash years ago that's still floating around the interwebs. The source is out there too, but it is really, really hideous.

You can do HTTP calls from flash so you could persist data that way by sending it to a webserver. I don't know about local storage capabilities of Flash.

There are a few online Amiga games here :
http://game-oldies.com/play-retro-games/commodore-amiga It looks like its running a flash conversion of an emulator though rather than a pure flash conversion. |
