winuae 0.8.22 R2 Hardfiles problems
Hi there!
I've tried to load from the Hardfiles menu 3 old harddisk files i did & that i used till the last version...1 for hd0, 1 for hd1, 1 as backup hd.. Actually when i try to load them i get the error message "HARDFILE NOT FOUND"..... Even tried to set to 0 the "surfaces", "reserved" & the "sector" option....nothin' to do... Now i don't wanna format other 3 hardfiles & mess up with the old ones to move the files from the old to new hdf files....solutions? Or better get a partition, format it under Amiga ffs & move all inside using an old version of winuae? Thanks for the help |

Hi,
I think this is a bug in the latest version. I had exactly the same problems! I found a workaround though. Create a default profile WITHOUT any hardfiles. Create other profiles WITH hardfiles. Then when the WinUAE GUI comes up, choose a profile with hardfile, and WinUAE runs fine! (The default profile is loaded automatically, and then hardfiles are opened. I think that WinUAE forgets to free these hardfiles. When a new profile is loaded, these files are then reported as "being in use" by the system...) Good luck! |
