Good ice hockey game for Amiga
Now that the world cup is going on, I have a recent idea:
- I do remember that years ago, some of my friends had a Sega Megadrive and used to play a lot one GOOD ice hockey game, that was quite popular then, I think. Don't remember the name of that game for sure. I'm sure that kind of game would be well possible to port to the Amiga, but it unfortenately has not. Old Amiga ice hockey games like Blades Of Steel and Wayne Gretzky hockey, for example, are only a joke, compared to that game on Megadrive. And we haven't seen any more ice hockey games on the Amiga yet. There are a couple of good soccer games for Amiga, like Goal! and Sensi Soccer. So, why not make one good hockey one...??! |

Just type "hockey" in the search engine for HOL and lots of much better hockey games than Blades of Steel appears...

So, there are a few maybe playable ice hockey games for Amiga.
However, these are no match for that Megadrive game I wrote ;-) . That's my opinion, and I'm sure some of you 'll agree. So, anyone there who guesses the Sega hockey game I was thinking of ..?! Btw, is there any usable Megadrive emulator for the Amiga ? |

I'm no ice hockey player, don't like those games... but there is no quality ice hockey game on the amiga, even though it could handle one.... if the amiga would have been alive til today, I'm sure several good ones would have been released.

Well, you're right. But I started to dream of the Amiga porting of that Megadrive hit someone could make if the rights would be possible to get.. (not me!) ;-) |

@Retro-Nerd
Well, it may well be that it was EEA/NHL hockey. With a quick Google search, didn't find it yet. However, I think I won't buy Megadrive because of one game, I'd rather buy a cd32 console ;-) |

Uh, your question/request is about 12 years too late. So anyway, why wasn't the great Electronic Arts Genesis game converted to the Amiga? FIFA and John Madden football made it to the Amiga. |

Try Karamalz Cup or another german ice hockey game which name I forgot All ice hockey games for Amiga are crappy, the only way how to kick Malkin´s arroggant ass is to play latest PC NHL games by EA.
BTW: Thanks M.Koivu for Saturday, it was coooool , pitty they didn´t equalize in the final. |

The another one is Megarts Hockey.
Or try Eishockey Manager by Software 2000. |
