Identify this Bootblock maker!
Found this bootblock on a couple of disks but no idea what program was used to make it, the vertical bars also move left and right and can be slow or fast moving!
Found it on Sexy Beautys AGA and Art Expression V1.0: |

Read the boot block into a hex editor to see if there is a tell tale credit in there.

This looks like someone just ripped the PDX intro used f.e. for Abandoned Places and just changed the text.

On the Art Expression disks there is some German text but some of the characters are not showing due to my Workbench/Windows being English: Quote:
It's also used on a DMS 2.04 'Evaluation' disk I have! Last edited by BarryB; 20 September 2020 at 14:50. |

Just noticed Sexy Beautys AGA is also a PDX release, same year as Abandoned Places 2, 1993.
However, Art Expression v1.0 was released in 1992 so it's Bootblock could not have been 'ripped' from the 1993 PDX release of Abandoned Places 2! BUT, that is assuming the copy I have is from a genuine retail release of Art Expression that has the same bootblock! However, TOSEC shows Art Expression with an [a bootblock] release tag and a version that has no bootblock, so it's likely the PDX bootblock has been 'ripped' off and applied to an alternate release of Art Expression, the only issue is how did someone figure out the vertical bars could be set to different speeds? |
