I couldn't honestly say given my memory could be a little hazy but I do remember liking it it once. Weather or not I played it long enough to know is always the question though. Quite polished though
This seems to indicate it's not broken at least in terms of controls [ Show youtube player ] |

I remember this game, as a kid I played it on my brother's C64 on some bootleg tape cassette, I never beat the second boss. Haha.

The C64 version is damn difficult, but any other aspect of this game is very good. This game, sorry, it is not shit game. Maybe could be it from difficult point of view, but i played also at any other version and it is a very difficult game.

I was kind of disappointed by the game since I was huge fan of the arcade original, but I still bought it and played it a lot. The music is amazing, and coding wise it's very well done, imo. It's just not a good game. It's a sequel to the weird NES version of YAKF, which deviates a lot from the arcade original already. Which explains why this game is so different to the first YAKF on the C64. Anyway, I still kind of liked it back in the day. The biggest pro it had going for it were the enemies, which had some very interesting designs, imo. The huge problem of the game is its lame game play and non intuitive control scheme. Would almost love to take the game's assets, and create a good 8-Bit-Fighter with it. |

Same as many guys above, I also remember this game, and I also didn't thought back then it was that bad.
Sure, original YAKF was way better, and more fun to play, bu t this one, even it's not worthy successor, was still not a bad game. |
