FS-UAE crashes during OS3.9 Find search

Hello.


I've seen this problem for a while now. It's easily caused when using Find to search a volume. It begins its search then suddenly UAE disappears!


There is no error. But that's the fault of Linux interface design. It doesn't tell you when things crash.


The volume is a folder volume. It uses uaefs handler and identifies as DOS1. Info thinks its a 4GB volume, with 2GB used and 2GB free. Just over 1GB is used inside the folder.


Steps to reproduce (at least on my system):
1. A working Workbench 3.9. Mine is on HDF.
2. A folder volume added as virtual HDD with a heap of files.
3. Boot to Workbench.
4. Open Find.
5. With folder volume selected search for a word.


You should see a crash. Or rather see UAE disappear suddenly for no reason. Crash log attached.

Okay thanks. It might be.

I see this is a little more complicated than is should be. The downloads are for a folder full of files. But I'm on Linux. I've added a PPA and it hasn't been updated in years. The repository on downloads page are commands. I can't find any normal deb packages anywhere. This isn't the usual way to release Linux software. Where is the installer?

Managed to install latest version. PPA must have been removed. But it was a lot neater than needing to copy and paste CLI commands so looks like a backwards step there.

Tested and it looks like it fixed. Did a few searches. Find worked fine.
