capital punishment

hi everyone,

Does anybody know if the Amiga game Capital Punishment has any disk copy protection ?

I have the original boxed game but am unable to install it .. the disks look fine with no blemishes on the disk surface etc. no read errors but when i install it crashes out with an error regarding lha. (when its unpacking or something)

so does the game have any copy protection bar the manual protection ?

could some kind soul up the adfs for me ?

thanks in advance

sp

It's not copy protection it's a shit copy of lha.

I had to install it with a different copy of lha because the one on the disks kept crashing on me!

the version on the disk is the one thats needed. the normal versions of lha are the ones that wont touch it. I just renamed my lha and copied the one on the disk to c: so the installer could do its work. then put my version back in place when done

i managed to install it .. at least i think its installed ok

i noticed the whdload install copied lha on the floppy to the Ram:T folder .. so whatever version i had in c: was being bypassed ..

anyway .. replacing the lha in ram with my own from c: at least allowed the installer to go further.

BUT it still hung after a while of unpacking..

i reset the amiga and ran the game .. it promptly crashed but then i remembered there was a patch for the game that the whdload installer may have not got chance to install .. i extracted that patch to the game folder and bingo the game works ..

the folder size according to Dopus is 21050135 bytes

that sound about the right size ?

I've just checked my install of Capital Punishment and it sits at about 15MB...

maybe you still have the original lha files sitting in the dir?
