Analogic cd32 floppy

So I got one of these recently and it doesnt work... does anyone have one and it works? every floppy I try has some error, hired guns grey screen, apidya disk error, projectx wont even load a bit.

I had one few years back. They can be tempremental if its not connected to your CD32 properly so check undernaeth of the CD32 to see.

I have reattached it twice and it is 100% "installed" as far as I can see,

erm no its brand "new" I imagined that wouldnt be an issue, I can try however, the cd32 is also "new" old stock.

I would get me a floppy drive cleaning disk and give it a go.

Also where have your floppies been stored? When did they last get used?
I remember getting a box of about 50 and they were all MOULDY on the magnetic media

Ah well the disks worked on a actual amiga. I think its a dodgy drive really, it makes a strange whine not like normal at all really.

Works for me but there are AGA floppy disk games which don't work. Not quite sure why but I think the OS allocates some RAM for the CD or something which lowers the total amount to below what the game expects to find for an A1200??

Whine usually comes from crappy disks, usually those with mould on the surface. That damages your drive, you should try new, fresh disks, just to be sure.
