Since yesterday evening IMP is telling me that it is unable to connect to IMP server.

Is the server down or am I having problems on my side? I already tried deleting s:imp3.prefs and running the old executable from Aminet.

Internet is working on the Amiga since I am writing this on it.

there was 12 hours downtime, sorry for that. first from beginning of imp3

Interesting tool, but sadly needs a lot of work on the system friendly side of things (GUI)
You can set some fonts, but getting the window/system font settings for custom screen is a problem, and then all elements do not respect window borders (if they are not fixed size classics) and overwrite all over the gadgets. Would be nice if this could be looked too in the next update.

this should not be the case, please describe the error with photos exactly and make sure that there are no strange patches in the system

please check first this thread. there are many screenshoots with differents border settings and all is fine. latest fixes was for os 3.2 (additional paddings)

@juen - When I first registered this program I didn't take a note of the registration code so I then had to register a second time under a different name, is it possible for you to give me the code for my first registration or maybe even delete it?

code is saved in file - s:imp3.reg until it is there imp will not ask for regcode. maybe you mean imp1 regcode?

So it should work when I choose "dbm" as type? I disabled all other types but it does not load and play any song. I have working AHI and 030 (real Amiga) and 040 (UAE).


IMP3 does not freeze, I can change it back to .mod and it plays fine.

As seen here, it's all over the place (custom screen only) Looks more or less ok on WB. You MUST request from the system internal window dimensions when opening windows, then they will always provide what you need and account for variable border sizes, no padding or wizardry needed.

- Something is wrong when using 16bit screens, windows have artifacts when moved (screen background colour changes)
- add some patterns/picture options for the background to make it more fun
- is HELP supposed to do anything ?

- but why use 16bit screen when imp is opening 4 colors screen? just change screen to 8bit

- help -> show help, just look in "chat window"

- there will be no background images, sorry imp should stay "light" I think, and own screen always will use den.font for title (screen bar, window bar)

Which os you are using? Of course all dimensions of windows bar sizes, gaps etc are readed - this is why imp looks nice on different set ups, and different systems (classic, mos etc..) i don't know why u have this problem some weird patches?

i think for now it will be better for you to change to workbench mode. custom screen is better for low-end machines, workbench mode is preferred for rtg systems
