That makes me a little sad. Yeah, really.
Whom shall we blame in the future? |

If Amiga Inc has survived fifteen years without releasing a computer, I don't think a little recession can stop them

AI's greatest crime was they never even put $1 into the fantastic Amiga community. All they ever accomplished was having their hand out asking for money and/or trying to twist the Amiga brand to mean something it's not. It should come as no surprise that the community that supported them would turn on them when the truth became apparent. Our investment partners saw this greed first hand in 2006 when AI asked for an amount of money that was outrageous and out of this world.
Now everyone just waits for the 404 error. The fat lady will not even have to sing this time. The End |

@Pyro
Amiga Inc, died a long time ago my friend. What ever this company is now, all its done is attempt to fleace the community, as you say with the hand out wating for money as opposed to dipping in their own pockets for developement etc. Irrespective of the deal with Hyperion, I honestly dont believe that A.Inc actaully own anything other than the name.... if they did, then they could easly of made a sizable sum of cash in using it... alas, all we see them do is wield lawyers in court case after court case. I wonder where they get the several thousand pouinds a time in pursuing these legal claims????? bring back moo bunny is what i say =D |

@Zetr0
Their main investor died in Jan 2009 so I don't think they can afford to do the lawyer thing any longer. Amiga community is better off without the legal BS anyway. |

I'm certainly not. I'm not going to buy obsolete hardware for ridiculous money just so that I can use an obsolete os that isn't even free. I mean, really:
Sam 440ep (533Mhz CPU) - €455.65 AmigaOS 4.1 (SAM440ep) - €131.32 That's €586.97 which is of course ridiculous, and not in any way value for money. |

I wouldn't mind a cheap and silent PowerPC box with PPC Linux. But that SAM thing is - weird? But not as weird as A Inc sitting on Commodere's IP and letting it rot.
