UnRAR Realized

Author: Alexander Roshal, Marcin Labenski

UnRAR: New version of UnRAR Port for OS3, OS4 AROS x86, AROS 68k and MOS, language Italian, Spanis, Russian and Polish, UnRAR v6.11 supports all compressions RAR.

In the archive you will find a version called "unrar_aos_mini" which is suitable for the slightly expanded Amiga OS3.

UnRAR v6.11: Download and info

Requirements

OS3 AmigaOS version requires a system with:
- Motorola 68000 CPU - no FPU required
- Kickstart 2.04 or later
- ixemul V48 (http://aminet.net/package/util/libs/ixemul-48.0)
- 4 MB RAM (unrar requires 2.6 MB alone)

AROS 68k version requires same OS3 requirements
AROS i386 version requires ABI-v0.
MorphOS and AmigaOS4 version requires a new version of the operating system

The exact memory usage depends on the size of the compressed files, for example a 2 GB archive needs 32 MB of RAM to be decompressed.

You can associate Archives Icons to TKUnpacker, see video tutorial:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1IG...T-4qawJU38vZIw

TKUnpacker:
GUI for all CLI based unpackers like lha, lzx, unrar, unadf and unzip. It makes life a bit easier, you can use it as a shell command, a wb utilitiy or put it into the deficons

This version of UnRAR is really cool! It handles all compressions. YYAAAY!

I was going to comment that it does have a GUI, it's called CLI. Get the rhyme?? HEHE! I added usages to my DOpus 4 and DOpus 5 configs. UnArc is really cool to have but if you test it a bit, it's slower than processing from CLI (or DOpus CLI). But, if you're reinstalling fresh, UnArc is very handy (without UnRAR).

I'm surprised that people even still use RARs when 7z is a clearly superior packaging format.

I on the PC use WinRAR for its convenience is unique, you can create "archives installer" easily, with a click you can unpack and compact from the same GUI, I use WinRAR for decades has never had problems, then everyone has their own tastes.

Does it support only Rar/Unrar or it also supports all other compression types like lha, lzx, zip etc?

Thanks

I didn't really understand, if you mean if those are icons, they are Dual-PNG Icons that I created from images found on the Web.
