Yes - I know the graphics are a bit flickery but wanted to get the game out over the Xmas period. Will sort out an update which addresses this.

Thanks for playing.

The more the video goes, the more it is a "danmaku" bullet hell game but without the "detection pixel" facility...
Wondering if it is due to the emulation or if the real game was that fast.

There were lots of conversions and some slight differences but the as always,
the original is the best!

I do have an actually version with knight and dragon graphics but thought it could make a nice xmas game.

I will probably release the other version soon but hope to enhance it a bit.

I did try the c64 version very quickly, but it seemed very hard as I couldn't jump over the fireballs.on the first stage lol

If you can fix that flicker... your version will be pretty good... congrats on the work done so far in it..

Some people find displaying in Y order reduces flickering

Thanks - will remember this. Although I think it is more likely due to dodgy double buffering (and programming)!!

Looks like fun. I didn't try it yet, just watched the videos.
Few observations:
– some parts of the music are, how can I put it, awful
– in one video, player move to goblin position to avoid being hit. It should not be possible
– any chance to improve goblin with hands or something? :-)

Have just update the adf so the flickering is gone.

As I thought - stupid programming, I was double buffering the screen but then drawing to the current one and not the hidden one - doh!

The music is awful - good spot but that's part of the fun (and also why you can turn it off).

I have also sorted out the lack of collision with the goblin inside the castle as I noticed this too although I think Ransom may be cross as he discovered this 'gameplay feature'.

My son drew the goblin so I wouldn't want to upset him by changing his sprite and I only gave one day. This was only meant to be a silly, fun Christmas game.

Look out for the actual real version of Dragonfire in the new year.

I tried changing the music mod with Turri2 or Xenon2 mod files but the game plays the mod files in drunk mode...

Is there anyway to replace music with normal sounding mod, or even changing the drunk xmas attached mod into non drunk mode?

I like the drunk xmas mod!

In theory chaning the mod should be as simple as popping another one in with the same name - I use MTPlayer. Will have a look at this later.
