Going from VGA back to std 15.6khz
I'm getting stuck trying to get an A1200 which was setup to boot on a PC VGA monitor to boot on anything!!
It seems mt TFT wont cope with Amiga VGA mode (ie wont sync down enough) but my TV cannot cope with the HD being set to boot in VGA. I managed to boot into a normal 15.6khz mode using WB3.0 floppy and moved the monitors from DEVS: Monitors back to Storage:Monitors but even with nothing in there it still boots up in I think VGA. I know its something idiotic but I am struggling to recall. Its been 10 years or more since I really used a REAL Amiga. Can someone help (without laughing TOO much!!) ??? Thanks! |

Maybe the startup.sequence file is starting something.

you must have saved a vga screenmode. delete prefs/env-archive/sys/screenmode.prefs

boot with no startup-sequence and remove all monitor drivers out of devs and also check startup-sequence and user-startup in sys:s/
You might also need to delete screenmode prefs from sysrefs/env-archive (note this is from memory, so don't quote me or blame me if something is a little wrong) |
