CD32 TF330 RGB question...
Hello peeps,
I'm scratching my head trying to figure this out. I have a CD32 with a TF330 and Kipper riser and I'm not getting any image when I connect the Amiga Video / RGB to SCART cable and then connect it to a SCART to HDMI. When I use my standard av cables with my av to hdmi it works fine... I have a PAL CD32 but not sure if that even matters since I am trying to connect RGB > SCART > HDMI ... or does it? For the record the cable and converter I am using were purchased at the following places but from what I believe they should work but aren't. SCART to HDMI Upscaler / Converter Agmia RGB to SCART Cable Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |

Does it work with RGB to scart only on CRT or HDTV comptible with scart ?
Your SCART to HDMI converter doesn't seems to accept resolutions below 640x480p : Input Resolution: 640x480@60Hz, 800x600@60Hz, 1024x768@60Hz, 1280x720@60Hz, 1280x1024@60Hz, 1360x768@60Hz, 1600x1200@60Hz, 1920x1080@60Hz, 480i/60Hz, 480p/60Hz, 576i/60Hz, 576p/60Hz, 720p50/60Hz, 1080i50/60Hz, 1080p23.97/24/25/50/59.94/60Hz An OSSC will do the job |

OSSC is worth every gold shilling. I know it’s pricey but you win in the end since it looks so much better. Not the normal everyday jaggie pixelated piece of sh*t upscaler that makes Amiga graphics look EGA that sell for a penny.

The problem is more likely that your scart to hdmi converter doesn't work with RGB. The scart standard carries RGB and composite and I suspect this converter is looking for the composite signal which isn't there from the RGB output on the Amiga.
If your looking a good budget solution get yourself one of these. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Flylink-Con...8980618&sr=8-3 It works with everything I've thrown at it and despite what people tell you there is no noticeable input lag (I measured it at a couple of frames), if you do get lag turn off all filtering settings on your TV and select game mode. This converter should also support s-video and component all be it, it may need modified for component. S-video though is part of the scart standard. The reason this works so well is because its just a typical decoder you'd find in any TV set with an HDMI encoder on the output rather than an LCD driver. Adrian's digital basement on youtube did a fantastic video on it. (I did one too, just not as good as Adrian's) |

For sure Glen_M is right,
At this price it's possible that your converter only deals with composite. The converter mentionned above seems to be a good compromise between the OSSC and the composite at a very good price. |
