Why run it on Winfellow?
Should work with a typical a500 config. (well it works on winuae with a typical a500 config) |

winuae has trouble emulating its sound accuratly, and i rather enjoy listening to the sound and music. Speaking of which i've gotten the game to boot up now on winfellow, but the sound is somewhat off....
In winuae it often cuts out for short times and/or gets staticy. In winfellow the music plain seems to be too high pitched(i remember how it originally went pretty well) |

Hi rmcin329,
what version of WinUAE do you use and what CPU and OS do you have on your PC? |

Try playing with the sound buffer size. Default is 4, on my machine when I set it to 2 the sound works much better and I have less dropouts.

Then you should not have any problem to get Adventure Construction Set to work with full music. Try the attachted config for WinUAE (you need to adjust the floppies and kickstart to your files of course). It should work without a problem and at the right speed

hmmn alright adjusted it to sound buffer of 2, and that helped. However now its having issues with varying sound volume(this happens with other games too.....) and no its not related to the game as i've played this game(and the other one that has the same issue) on an actual amiga before, and i know that the sound/music shouldn't be rapidly chaning volume. I'll fiddle with a couple more settings and see what happens
EDIT okay in response to the cyberdruid now(part above the word EDIT is to stingray) that attached config actually runs faster then the one i have for it but so far it doesn't appear to be an issue. Its also drastically helped with the sound issues both mentioned in my above post and the top part of this one(above the word EDIT). However there still is a bit of volume variance in the sound so i think using your config i'll play around with the sound buffer size a bit. Last edited by rmcin329; 26 June 2008 at 00:35. |

Hmm I never had that problem, try the "Enabled, 100% accurate" setting, maybe it helps.

Or simply try my config Never had any change in the volume and have not heard of such a problem with WinUAE. Very strange.

In answer to stingray i was already using that, and in answer to cyberdruid, your config is working a lot better(though faster) then mine, so i think i'll use yours. One of these days i'll have to study your config and alter it for other games i play such as "the settlers" which has severe sound volume variances issues on winuae.

I don't suppose either of you know how to get the game to use a 2nd disk drive? The game is set by default for 2(DF0 and DF1) however it keeps refusing to recognize disks in DF1. It keeps claiming the disk in drive DF1 to be the wrong disk when it isn't. And before you ask, yes, i am inserting the floppy disk image via the disk swapper. Using 2 disk drives isn't a must as i can tell the game to use 1(part of main menu options) but then theres a lot of disk swapping involved with making an adventure disk.

Does it support external floppy drives on a real Amiga?

you sure it's refusing to recognise a disk present and not some other error?
For example are the disks write enabled? |

Tested it and it works fine with a second floppy. Using 'F1' to create a adventure disk works without any disk swapping.

not sure if it supports external floppy drives, but it specifically requests the adventure disk to be put in drive DF1 if you have the game set to 2 drives(default). In any case it kept complaining in game, that the wrong disk was inserted.
After finally fiddling around with some more config options i've gotten both disk drives to work correctly and this isn't an issue any longer. |

I've gotten stuck on the Rivers of Light premade adventure on here. Anyone have a walkthrough or something on it? I've already looked around and can't find one. Also i've completed most of it already, just some issues at the end.
Heres a link to a screenshot showing an area i haven't found a way across or around. I've tried using the boat you can obtain, and it doesn't really help. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...creenshot2.jpg Heres a link to another area i can't get by, because i can't find(been all over the map LITERALLY) the gray-grow-fruit that he wants. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...screenshot.jpg |
