Moonshine Racers, another racer that looks great but moves like shit

Hi all, after playing Moonshine Racers on the Amiga I'm surprised it wasn't nominated for a SGT placement earlier, I mean yes it looks very nice especially in stills but jeeeez It's as slow as an asthmatic snail carrying a load of holiday luggage!
It's just awful with no playability, no fun and no redeeming fetures that will bring you back to play it again.

So now it has finally been flushed down the poop tube into the vault of shitness and rightfully so thanks to requester "RayC".

I mean, it's shit. No doubt about it. The frame rate is terrible, especially the first car is slow as molasses and the engine sound can get a little grating over time.

The game has style though and despite its poor framerate I got very far in it, it's quite playable. There should have been more racing games which do the radio chatter thing. It's bad and good for me.

Yep, I played this to completion back in the day, don't know why but grew on me!

I guess there is no other way around it. To heck with Outrun, we need a better Moonshine Racers.

it does look a bit fiddly but I'm not so convinced it's bad. May have to try for myself

Both Moonshine Racers and Chase H.Q have good framerate and speed, if played on accelerated machine in NTSC mode.

yeah a nice increase with NTSC alone. Been watching a few vids and it seems there is a turbo function?
