good luck on the psu venture, of course you can remove any wires that you wont use directy from the psu board, although always keep a couple spare of +5 / +12 and ground... you just never know when you might need them

its a shame you live over the other side of the water I could of just chucked you a couple of PSU's i have loads!

Thanks Zetr0 ^^ well i have a couple of clients who have a few scrapped computers that i can probably get a atx from.

I fired up my A1200, after connecting Lyra and a "new" keytronic keyboard and tried a few games. The audio sounds weird, as in Molcos' first post. Both channels are working but distorted. Going to inspect tomorrow, testing with bare motherboard, A500 PSU and floppy drive only. Can't be bad caps as this mobo had caps replaced by Amigakit just a while ago. Ordered a new PSU (Zalman 400w) to test if the fault is in it as found out in this thread earlier.

Really sad panda right now as I just had everything set up & ready to go when this audio problem arised. Luckily I have a spare mobo at hand.

If the boards been recapped, most likely its the PSU.

Yes I hope so, new PSU is on the way and according to reviews it's a good one
