Amiga Format PDF scans

Hi all

Has anyone else had problems trying to download the Amiga Format PDF magazine scans from the Commodore is Awesome website? I can't say I have tried all of them but have tried most on the first page and several on others. On my home PC the download never finishes it seems to quit -out early saying the download was interrupted. On my work laptop from our office location our (McAfee) Antivirus kicks-in saying its detected a virus and prevents download.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

As a related question can anyone please point me to an alternative location for Amiga Format PDF scans?

Thanks for your help.

I can confirm this, the download just stops after slowing to a crawl. 20 mins to download one issue (129mb), way above my boredom threshold.

I will test out to see if there's a problem on the server we host them on.

We're working on fixing the problem, we don't yet know as to why we're experiencing these problems, but I'm sure as soon as we know, we'll re-post in this thread hopefully with it resolved.

Thanks for pointing out the problem to us

Try again now, issue is resolved, see post #7 for info.
Thread should really be locked now.

No thread lock for now Kitty

As kitty said we have resolved the issue and you should be able to resume downloads, however, there may be one or two issues that are broken, so please state in here which ones, so we can get them working too.

The problem that we are/were experiencing is that many people are downloading them all at once (32gb downloaded today alone), and the reason why people couldn't download them properly, is that the server implemented a download restriction due to the heavy traffic it was experiencing. There's not a lot I can really suggest, except maybe download during off peak periods.

However currently they are now on a different server.

There seem to be some pages missing from the Amiga Format Comic Relief Special scan...

Thread necromancy... wooo!

Has anyone had a look at the Amiga magazine CDROMs for sale on eBay by "Another World Games"? Quality?

"We are the original compilers of this collection, which is not available anywhere else." Yes I know you can download all the issues individually - and if they did just "compile" them off archive.org that would be a bit dodgy - but for the time it would take me to download, put in the right folders and put away somewhere I could just have a CDROM.
