ComicOn: Nice collection of comics for OS3/OS4/MOS/AROS, ComicOn simply downloads the strip of your choice and displays it to you. Simply select a Comic and a date. ComicOn opens the strip for you.

Update ComicOn v1.2 for OS3, OS4, AROS 68k/x86, MOS

I grabbed version 1.2 for OS 3.

It fails to start - popup 'error loading plugin muiroyale.hwp'. I did install MUIRoyale.

Snoopdos shows a failure trying to load some file from ENV:classes/datatypes/picture/?? (truncated).

Anyone can help me out here as to what I am missing.

muiroyale.hwp plugin is included in the executable, you need to install this software:

- MUI
- render.library -> https://aminet.net/package/dev/misc/renderlib
- guigfx.library -> https://aminet.net/package/dev/misc/guigfxlib
- codesets.library -> https://aminet.net/package/util/libs/codesets-6.21
- Internet connection

Which executable are you referring to?
I installed the muiroyale package

Note, I have all the above mentioned libraries installed.

What error are you experiencing?
Have you used snoopdos to figure out what you are missing?

I'm using MUI 5.0
As mentioned, a popup window claims 'error loading plugin "muiroyale.hwp"'

When I originally looked at snoopdos, I couldn't see what it was trying to load. I stretched the column and now can see the problem..

failing to load:

ENV:/classes/datatypes/picture.forcev43 -
quite right, this file is missing. Why so ?

some info on my files:
libs:datatypes.library = 46.3
classes/datatypes/picture.datatype = 46.13

It's not a datatype issue, tested it now on a "standard" OS 3.1 and it works, double check the libraries I listed, you are definitely missing one of those libraries listed.

I'm using 3.1.4 and many 3rd party datatypes. I will track down the issue.

Had this with the FPU version, swapped to the non FPU version and it worked OK.

I tried both versions, there is no difference; at least for me

OS 3.1.4 seems to have problems with guigfx.library and PAL , if you add a graphics card ComicOn it works fine, see screenshot

I'm on an NTSC system and I happen to have 2 different RTG cards

With NTSC it doesn't work, strange with OS 3.1 and OS 3.9 it works also with PAL
