Cody's Great Game Completion Challenge (CGGCC)
Have you ever wanted to see the ending of a game but have been unable to complete it? Is the difficulty level so insane that to reach the end requires the reflexes of an android and the luck of the Irish?
Now you can nominate a game for completion so that you can see the ending in this thread! * * Excludes games which loop infinitely and some really bloody long ones (e.g. Liberation). |

Who plays them?
Is the player (you) going to cheat? Is it going to be recorded? |

I'll play them and there will be no recording, except for the ending screenshot in the thread.
The method of completion will be up to me! There shouldn't be games with level skip/game completion trainers and cheats or else it'll already be easy to see the ending. |

So basically you'll add a trainer to the game and complete it ?

Yes.
It's not that simple as I don't have the skills to create trainers that jump to the end of games or skip levels. I also need to grab screenshots throughout a game for the Hall of Light so skipping the whole game isn't viable. For some games (e.g. The Gold of the Aztecs) I use WinUAE savestates only. |

Guardian loops so there probably isn't an ending.

I suggest you try to end Foundation. If you don't skip levels you're up for a long time...

It's not infinite loop.
Just a long one, but with an end. |

Well if you are in for playing without cheating, I would not mind if you could give a go to Project-X and answer that 6-year-old questioning about the game having an actual ending that doesn't mention 'now try to finish without losing a life'.
See the good ol' thread for reference: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=2930 Lol, more than 6 years I have been a member of EAB and less than 80 posts. Talk about writing laziness... |

Since I do not see an explicit answer to Legerdemain's 1st question, I'll have to watch all the parts to see if Retroplay lost a life or not. The 'now try to finish without losing a life' message is displayed at the end, thus if didn't lose any life, I'll have an answer. Well then my suggestion should be on hold until I check the whole longplay. Edit: By checking the number of lives between the level beginnings and during the bonus sections (too lazy to check the whole longplay), it seems he didn't lose a life. I guess I have my answer: Team 17 took their customers for noobs unable to finish the game without a life... I wish I had some hacking skills to replace every enemy sprites by the Team 17 logo and play to relieve my anger. At least, I can now rest in peace... Edit2: My suggestion is therefore pointless.
