1,5 MB Chip RAM on A500 configuration

Hi Toni, i have a border question for you

i want to ask why it's not possible to set that amount of RAM on a default A500 kickstart 1.x configuration (1,5 MB CHIP)

EDIT booting the system, it shows just 0,5MB

the same configuration works fine with A500+, A600, A1200 and above

it's maybe because it wasn't an existing possible configuration, on real hardware?

OCS chipset has limited Chip RAM size - ECS or AGA is needed for more.

it's a bit strange, cause 'sliding' the WinUAE option from left to right you can set in order 256, 512, 1, 1.5, and 2MB (the CHIP bar)
and just the 1.5 does not work, i mean when booting the system

A500 setting

My A500 config with OCS shows in WB 1.3 only 0,5 MB Chip. ECS shows whatever I choose including 1,5MB...
How are you checking this? What Configuration are you setting in Quickstart panel?

Indeed, but it's enough to change OCS to ECS Agnus to make it behave as expected. No idea if it's a chipset or emulation issue. There's that 1M Chip option in Adv. Chipset settings but it's dependant on the amount of Chip you pick, not the chipset (probably to exclude impossible configurations)...

It isn't supported, probably was not worth the trouble (non-power of 2 size) and it does not make any sense. (CPU can access all chip RAM, Agnus only sees first 512k repeated 4 times)

EDIT: I'll check this after 4.10.1 is out.
