Crash when enabling Cycel-exact (Full) 4.10.x?

Anyone else had this happen?

Had this happen quite a few times, using the default 1.3 config in WinUAE 4.10.1

I load WinUAE then load a game and realise I need Cycle-exact (Full) so hit F12, select Chipset, tick Cycle-exact (Full) then click Reset and WinUAE crashes and creates a mini dump!

Similarly, if a game is still loading and I do the above F12 > Chipset > tick Cycle-exact (Full) >click Reset, WinUAE also crashes!

WinUAE 4.9.1 doesn't have this problem as enabling Cycle-exact (Full) and resetting works as expected whether the game has loaded or is still loading.

Strange, 4.9.1 works yet 4.10.1 doesn't for me, may be another reason to ditch Windows 11?

Upload the dump file somewhere (compressed) and include or email the url, thanks.

WinUAE 4.10.0 x64 doesn't update ROM when changing from A500 to A1200 in Quickstart.
crashes when changing from cycle-exact to fastest cpu (+ vice versa)
and restart or reset. (Quickstart)
It seems not to be updating emulator caches or the like.

Games tested: Wonderboy(2023), Motorola Invaders 2.

I can't see how this can happen without also changing CPU type (see below).
What CPU model/config?

I can duplicate this but this is not 100% same as OP's problem (crash is same as in OP's dump file but this crash "requires" also CPU model change). This is fixed.

I use Quickstart, Model: A500 + 1.3 ROM, OCS, 512 KB Chip + 512 KB Slow RAM (most common)

CPU never changed (still shows 68000) as I load the game, hit F12, enable Cycle-exact then hit Reset, that's all it took to make WinUAE crash.

Which Quickstart compatibility level? (slider position)

I can replicate this without needing to boot a game.

For example:

Start WinUAE x64, open Quickstart and select Model: A500 + 1.3 ROM, OCS, 512 KB Chip + 512 KB Slow RAM (most common)

If slider is in position 2 (one to the right of left most), Set Confugration and get to Kickstart boot screen, press F12, go to Chipset and turn on Cycle-exact (full), then press Reset. Crash.

Restart WinUAE and select Quickstart as above.

If the slider is in position 1 (left most), Set Configuration and get to Kickstart boot screen, press F12, go to Chipset and turn off Cycle-exact (full), then press Reset. Crash.

It also does it if I use A500+ or A600 as the Quickstart, but not A1200 or A4000. I don't have any more ROMs installed so can't test whether the other 68000 based Quickstart options do the same.

@Toni: Slider is 2nd from the left.

@Exodus: Yes, that method crashes for me too!

Tried both 32bit & 64bit builds of WinUAE 4.10.1 with A500 + 1.3 OCS, 512k Chip + 512k Fast config and both will crash when changing Cycle-exact and clicking Reset (2nd position on the slider).

Slider set to 4th (far right) position or 3rd position does not crash WinUAE when ticking Cycle-exact and resetting!

Slider set to 1st (far left) position automatically sets Cycle-exact, but starting WinUAE to the Kickstart screen then unticking Cycle-exact then clicking Reset will also crash WinUAE!

So it appears to be an issue with the compatibility slider in 1st or 2nd position!
