Frontier Elite 2 - CD32
Hello,
I recently downloaded winUAE and the shareware, CD32 version of Frontier in .adf format. However, when I try to run the game, I get as far as the shareware screen and then winUAE displays the following error message: Volume Frontier is not validated. Any thoughts on what's gone wrong? Much appreciated! |

Re: Frontier Elite 2 - CD32
Well, the message says it all: the disk is not validated. Someone removed the disk from the drive while it was still writing. If you did not do it, the download was probably corrupted. Try to boot Workbench and then insert the disk. Disk-Validator should be started automatically and repair the disk (if you are lucky).

Better use DiskSalv or Quarterbacktools.

Pity they never did a version of Frontier with texture mapping for the Amiga CD32. I had at one stage thought that they might. A pity. Then again, could the CD32 have handled it? Akiko chip perhaps?
