Utter madness
Still can't believe I am running old Amiga games and software. I have an 18 core 10980XE with 80Gb of RAM and a 2060 GTX and still prefer some of the old Amiga games to modern stuff. A bit of over-kill really and Lightwave runs really well. Had to laugh when I ran immediate Blitter and games ran at crazy speeds. Loving the pinball games like Slam Tilt and Brain Damage but still keep coming back to my favourite of Deluxe Galaga.

still play plenty of old games here, tbh i find its better than most offerings today that only "look" good, but either play crap, are basically money farming games or their stuffed full of invasive malware/spyware/dodgey rootkit nonsense that i just cant be arsed with todays games at all.
So i fall back to "ol reliable" stuff, good old retro |

I just managed to snag myself this little list of parts for free... My dad was about to build a new PC for himself and... well... he's not going to be using it now.
Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8gb (GDDR5) video card (used, but barely, like new) Asus Tuf Gaming X570 Plus motherboard (brand new) Ryzen 9 5900X CPU (brand new) 16gb of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 at 3000mhz (brand new) Water cooling for the CPU (brand new) All the above is pre-fitted on the motherboard (minus the video card) ...and a case to put it all in (brand new) ...and an ADX 750w 80 Plus Gold modular PSU (brand new) Yep. For FREE Thanks dad. I'll make good use of it. Just need to buy a decent M2 SSD and i will be able to run Manic Miner at 74bazillion frames per second. LOL.
