I hope someone can help me out here. My card arrived today but I cannot get my A4000 to recognise it. As you can see from the photo it gets power and everything lights up and flashes as you would expect. I have also attached a photo of the monitor's OSD showing the signal info it is getting from it. I have tried it on two monitors with the same result.

My A4000 as it's not standard. It has been towered in a Power Tower and it's using an Elbox Zorro III/II board (rev 1.1) - I do not have access to an original daughter board to test with. It's running a CS2 on a Rev 2 main board and buster 11 chip, it was recapped 5 years ago by Hickey.

My CV64/3D works fine on this Zorro board and i've tried the ZZ9000 in both slots that it fits in. It does not appear in the expansion menu of the early startup menu like the CV64/3D does.

I'm quite sure I should be getting scan doubled AGA screens out of it without drivers so i'm leaning towards the Amiga is not seeing the card at all. Has anyone else experienced this problem? is there a fault with the card or is it not compatible with this Zorro board? There was no mention of this anywhere that I could see when I ordered the card. Help !

Have you tried it the ZZ9000 Zorro II mode (different firmware). Lukas' devices don't seem to like 3rd party daugther boards. VA2000 not seen in Mediator, ZZ9000 only seen in Firebird in Zorro II mode.

Yes scan doubler works with 1.4b firmware confirming this card does not like the Elbox Zorro III/II Rev 1.1 bus board. It's going back for a refund, so if you have towered your A4000 with this BB then you are out of luck like me.

It works with the Eagle busboard. When I get the next card I'll try it in others.

Tried the ZZ9000 in zorro III mode in my Mediator A4000Di 3V and to my happy surprise it is detected in early startup menu.

Too bad though I have planned to use it in my still to be build AA3000+

Well, mine arrived today, put it in the A4000 and the scandoubler part of it works great but the RTG part not so much..

IN P96 settings, it shows the test screen but draws it agonizingly slowly and when trying to change to any of the ZZ9000 screenmodes, the whole machine crashes

It's the original daughter board,
System has a standard A3630 processor card with 16mb RAM, recapped and SIM sockets replaced. Running OS3.1.4

No other boards, just the A3630 processor card and a CF adaptor

Tried the lowest slot next to the video slot and then ,moved it up to the 2nd lowest slot (that's where it is in the video)

Do you have any software patches installed such as a wheelmouse patch, or is this a stock 3.1.4 installation? The video looks very much like a 3.9 installation, but has it been manually upgraded or something similar?

I'm sure you're using the latest firmware. Which Picasso96 version are you using? It's advised to use the newest from iComp.de.

I suggest you contact MNT (Lukas) directly. It's a very friendly guy and he will most likely help you!

I am using the Icomp Picasso96 but I don't think it is the latest one as I think there was a bugfixed version released a few months ago. I'll give that one a try.
I've dropped Lukas an email but not heard anything back yet.
