Little Advice please
ok . had my cd32 apart today to have a look around ,and im not exactly knowledgeable with electronics so i was hoping someone could cast their eyes on my pics and see if they can tell if the caps etc need doing, to me they look fine lol.
no problems with the cd32 , other than the left mouse button seems to not work sometimes, but other than that everything runs great, plays "backups" no probs , was told when i bought itd had a new lens fitted in 2018. any help/advice would be appreciated , many thanks |

The bottom-left one in the second photo has a very dry joint, probably from corrosion.
I had one cap in a similar state on an A1200 and it was quite difficult to remove. It took several attempts with flux and new (leaded) solder before the joint reflowed enough to remove the cap. I was using two soldering irons set to 650F but was still really cautious about keeping heat on the pad too long. I have little faith in the glue holding pads to a 25 year old board. |

Here are some highlights, it's hard to tell about the large through hole ones, but one certainly looks bulging. There are a couple surface mount ones that definitely look leaking and one that looks to have leaked. If you're having someone do it for you, just have them all done.
