Question about Amiga 600 and Cloanto Kickstart 3.x
Hi to all,
I recently bought "cloanto kickstart 3.x" for my amiga 600. When I tried to install it on the motherboard of my amiga, I have seen that the rom3.x is shorter, the hoof it contains another pin, why? Does anyone know how to install it? thank you. |

It should be the same size as the original 2.05 ROM, which is also one row too short for the socket.
If you look carefully, on the motherboard there are markings that show where the chip should be installed from. This image should help. |

Great ! My amiga 600 was recovered from a cellar , it did not have the original rom... Thank you.

In that picture linked to by Daedalus above, it looks like there's an arrow just above the 'U47' legend which may indeed indicate that the ROM chip should be inserted into the socket in the rightmost position, as shown.
