Possible CF corrupt?

I have recently put my 4GB CF card in my C= A1200 (1D1) along with my ACA1231 as I was getting issues with the 1231 in my AT A1200 (1D4), everything seemed fine until I started the machine up last night.

The HDD light flickers away and I get the FDD clicks, but I just get a black screen - no boot screen, nothing just a black screen (was working perfectly for the last 3-4 days).

Plugged my Overdrive in the PCMCIA slot and the machine booted to workbench and I could see the contents of the CF card, although MUI looked awful.

Is it possible that the bootable partition of the drive has become corrupt?, and if so what is the easiest way to restore it?.

Update: with the CF card plugged in and a floppy inserted I can launch workbench but hardly anything opens (Dopus, any WHDLoad games). this is the same with the Overdrive plugged in.

Struggling with this one as I don't really want to have to reformat the CF drive

There is not much information in your post. What did you do before it started to fail?

Which operating system is installed on the boot partition?

Which file system is used?

Can you enter the early startup menu and boot without startup-sequence?
If you can, please enter

set echo on
execute s:startup-sequence

and tell us where it hangs.

If you are able to transfer files between the internet and your Amiga, please run this and attach its output here:

Also quote the first 20 or so lines of the startup-sequence file of your boot partition. Or attach the entire file here.
