REQ: Amiga Format "Reader's Games" sections
Could anyone scan the Reader's Games sections from Amiga format please? In particular, I am looking for one that appeared in 1996-97 that featured a game called "Rhythm King" - I would be quite happy to pay/donate a couple of £ for good quality scans of those pages and the cover from that issue. Thanks!

Amiga Format magazines AF80-AF105 appeared in the years 1996-7.
I have only one magazine from this period - AF104 dated December 1997 (AF105 was dated Christmas 1997). This and the later AF magazines I have suggest that the Reader's Games featured in each issue were included on the cover CD. The first Amiga Format cover CD appeared with the June 1996 issue (AF85), and the Christmas 1997 issue carried the cover CD AFCD21. The 1996 January to May issues came with coverdisks only. Although I have only the one of these magazines, I actually have several of the CDs: 2,5,7,8,9,13,14,15,16,18,19,20,21. I'll dig them out and have a look tomorrow to see if I can narrow down the search for you. In the meantime, here is a list of Amiga Format magazine issue numbers and dates for 1996/7 and the cover-mounted CDs. Quote:

If I were to guess, I would think it was between issue 88 and 102. Thanks for the info, and I'd certainly appreciate it if you find anything! |

Do you actually have a copy of that game, or are you looking for that as well?

Good news!
Rhythm King was featured in the Reader's Games pages of Amiga Format magazine issue 110 (May 1998). I don't have a copy of the magazine, and my usual supplier doesn't have a copy of this issue either, but I do have the AFCD26 cover CD, which contains the game, and that is how I found it. I will upload it for you if you wish.
