WinUAE Hard Disk Files (Too Many Cyls)

I bought Amiga Forever 2009 today. It works fine with the software the comes with it. I have spent the last seven days transferring my Work partition to an hdf file using Amiga Explorer 2006. When I mount the System file (which I also moved) it mounts fine with no problems. When I try to mount the hardfile for the Work partition under WinUAE, I get this for the description:

122472 cyls, 3919104 blocks, 1913.6MB/1913.6MB [Too many cyls] DOS. [444F53

Notice the message "Too may Cyls." What does this mean?

When I start WunUAE, the System partition boots fine, but I get an error mounting the work partition (it appears as NDOS on the workbench screen).

What am I doing wrong? Please tell me I don't have to spend seven days moving the 2GB of data over a serial cable again...

Run Amiga Explorer again, connect to the Amiga, right-click on the work partition and select properties. It will show you values for Surfaces, Sectors, Reserved and Block size. Enter these values in WinUAE's "add hardfile" window when adding the work HDF.

You should do the same for the system hdf, just to be sure. It's just luck that it works with the default values.

Thanks! That did the trick. I can't believe how fast the "Amiga" boots. It starts, basically, instantly!
