Auto loading configure file

Hi All
Is there any way of auto loading your winuae configure file when starting winuae?

Yes, just click on .uae config file.

Hi Vars191,

rename your config to 'default.uae'. Then it should be loaded at the start.
Or better make a batch and write 'WinUAE -f <your config>' in it. Then start this batch.

I tried that and it just comes up in the config window
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Vars191,

you want the games start up, without WinUAE showing it's GUI right?
In the 'Misc' settings there is a checkbox labeled 'Show GUI on startup'. switch it out and save your config.
Now your game starts directly.

Thanks for the info that the configuration file must be named default.uae.
Honestly why isn't this info in the faq of every release...
along with the names of the file formats .adf, .adz and .uss...
the fact that CTRL and Left Windows and Right Windows is used to reset..
and F12 for the setup screen.
I'll bet there are newbies who don't know they can save snaphots as .uss effectively removing the need for save disks...
You have to look in various different places to get the basic info which should be right at the start of a faq or readme within WinUAE.

It does seem impossible to save configuration in v1.5.0 to me, as it continually asks for roms on set-up: the beta version v.1.5.1 rc3 seems to have sorted this out.
