1.Amiga
2.Amstrad CPC (I´m a bit of a fan, you know )
3.Mega Drive (Awesome music, making full use of the 10 sound channels)

Actually MERCS maybe the only good game TIERTEX ever ported to Amiga. The scrolling and graphics are very nice compared to those other horrible Amy versions.

Was Midnight resistance really made by tiertex ?
The Amiga version wasn't too bad anyway (better than the ST one) compared to the usual quality of the Arcade To Computer conversions that where made back then.

Midnight Resistance was developed by SPECIAL FX (Untochables, Robocop 2 etc.). Special Fx made better games than Tiertex, not much but still.

The problem with the amiga version graphics (midnight resistance) is due to the fact that they comes from the ST, and since the colors are not the same kind, the amiga version is darkened. i read an article about this (maybe an english mag ?)

The ST had 3 bits to define each RGB color component (from 000 to 777) while the Amiga had 4 bits (000 to fff), all it takes is to multiply the ST color by 2 in order to obtain the same color on the Amiga, maybe Midnight Resistance could be fixed if it wasn't done properly.

Interesting! Yes, this game is dark, too dark! But just look at these two slime balls:

I see now that ST version is really worse than Amiga. There is no music in game, no screen scrolling and sound fx are generated. Also there is something wrong with controls - you need more time to turn around pressing left or right.

everyone that voted for the Amiga version was drunk or is a pure Amiga fanatic
there's no audio effects on the amiga version...only music
and music and gfx are worse than the original

The megadrive version is the best...full music and audio effects like the original and better movement

No 2-player co-op = boooooring. Better Movement? I don't think so. And of course the Amiga music & sfx sounds far better.

Original is the best, next are Megadrive and amiga. I didn't see any other versions.
