Some scene cds
A friend of mine sent me some scene cds he did dumps of. I don't know if they are well spread in the Amiga community or new, please let me know.
They are BBS-dumps from the early 90's i think. You can find them under uploads/Jonathan. Should be a bunch of them in a couple of minutes amiga_archive-1.iso amiga_archive-2.iso --REMOVED FROM FTP DUE TO POSSIBLE COPYRIGHTED WB-FILES amiga_archive-3.iso amiga_archive-4.iso amiga_archive-5.iso amiga_archive-6.iso aquarium_vol1.iso amigaoldies1.iso euroscene_1.iso amiga_cd_1-7.iso -- VOL 1-5 OF THESE REMOVED as they are already well known in the Amiga community as Amigacd 1 - 1992-06 - 1993-11 - bbs.iso - Amigacd 5 - 1995-04 - 1995-08 - bbs VOL 7 may have a few corrupt files due to age of CD. Could you write titles or file names for easy searching in future? Thanks for upload.

You might want to check inside the .isos - It looks as though there is some some stuff (at least on archive 2 - workbench stuff) which may not be uploaded. There may be other stuff as well, I just saw the WB files on a quick check.

Ok, guess it contained some stuff still being sold, WB that is? I just updloaded another bunch of scenecds and hope they are ok. I apologize if that's not the case, but I cant check every file. Should someone find something that's not allowed, notify me and I'll remove it at once of course.

I think it may be easier for you as you don't need to download these files

Thanks jonathan !
I see that amiga_cd_7.iso is much smaller than the others. Is it normal (perhaps because it's the last of the set) ? EDIT: I tested it, and most of (if not all) the files are non-present or give errors. Is it an incomplete upload, jonathan? Last edited by Supamax; 18 April 2014 at 04:39. |

Hi! I ripped the cds. Everything was done in a hurry so I didn't notice that cd 7 failed.
I've read another copy with gddrescue. The file /96-01/WT-EM1.DMS seems to be damaged. I hope the rest is intact. There's a very small scratch on this old cd. Otherwise degenerated cd material may be the problem. This backup is burned on a bad quality, no name disc back in the nineties. Where should I put the iso? IsoBuster (www.isobuster.com) is very good at reading/recovering damaged CDs (it also does multiple reads, if I remember well).
I used it (with success) on some burned CD-ROMs years ago . Only drawback is: it's not free. |

I see. I'll look into that some day when I stumble over some Windows machine.
