KS 3.1 works in my A500 - but not A2000. Please help!

Disclaimer: new to the modding scene so please be gentle.

I bought a KS 3.1 ROM with an EPROM adapter to go in my Rev4.1 A2000, but the monitor doesn't even get to the 'grey and whites', it just fails to boot. Tried the new ROM without the adapter in my A500, annoyingly it works fine. Reinstalled the old KS 1.3 in the A2000, boots fine.

Suspecting the adapter but that seems a long shot. Bought from Amigastore.eu, no word from them on the issue yet. Frustrating as I live in NZ and it took its sweet time getting here.

I suggest having a technician upgrade the A2000 board to rev 4.4, which solves some timing issues.

Is 4.1 one of the revisions that needs the pin 1-31 modification for Kickstart 2 and newer? Does the EPROM adapter incorporate that fix?

Try Anthony Hoffman at http://amiga.serveftp.net/ He lives in Christchurch or is sometimes down in Antarctica.

I recommend him 100% and he has done capacitor repairs on my Amigas
