Personally, I think it would have been a good new if they were doing for Android.

Jim Sachs is very much alive. Today he's the owner and developer of a popular series of screen savers called "Serene Screen". He also has a blog on http://castleonthecheap.blogspot.com/ on building his dream home, pretty interesting stuff.

Wow! I hope the Cinemaware crew is working on It Came From The Desert 1 & 2 right now and even sweeter would be if they released a third! And for Android.
Somehow I missed Lords of the Rising Sun during my Amiga years. Just saw the title on their site and checked it out on Youtube and it looks pretty awesome. Last edited by TCD; 26 August 2011 at 21:08. |

Didn't they "return" already a few years ago, doing revamped versions of their old games?

Yes, and the remakes very pretty bad (the PC ones anyway, I bought two of them).
The GBA version of Wings seems alright but I haven't played that one much either. |

Cinemaware released the old versions of their games for free some years ago. Really nice. You only had to register for that mailing list.

there's a project i've been slightly involved in. the aim was to embed winuae in a single exe with whdload and the slave (was called caveman)
I think Epic was doing this. Me i just changed my slave a little bit so the texts displayed during loading were readable and waited for lmb to change screen. of course i was not paid for this. just was awarded free games (well that was the deal) now I doubt about the legality of selling this (gnu copyleft licences, etc...), and I'm pretty sure there's whdload in this iphone version! |

not that easy to detect as AFAIR they created harddiskfile with encryption for each standalone game. not difficult to embed whdload in it.
whdload unregistered of course, else it's piracy. anyway, ipad is very bad at emulating computers. you need to remap controls, and joystick on touch screen is terrible. at least Imame4all proposes wii support through bluetooth. on the other hand i bought the latest pinball dreams hd for ipad and it's very good (it's not emulation) |
