CDROM/NETWORK Solution Help
Hi, ok, I have an Amiga 1200, and I want to be able to use my SCSI CDROM and have access to my home network without using the PCMCIA credit card slot.
How can this be done??? Thank you. |

Not a chance mate. All Amiga 1200 Ethernet cards I know of are PCMCIA.

There are several ways
1.) Buy a Busboard and stick a Network card in (You must get a tower too then ) 2.) Get a Turbocard with SCSI Kit and plug your SCSI CDRom into it .... 3.) Get an IDE CDRom (the cheapest solution) 4.) Use the PCMCIA SCSI CDRom and make your Amiga access the LAN via Nullmodem Cable (the slowest solution) .... |

If I where to put it in a tower would I still retain the ability to use my old games and software?

Yes, you are just changing the case mainly, The hardware (busboard) might cause incompatability probs though
