Smile Great Giana Sisters - Postmortem

Hello Amiga lovers!

I asked Graham if it was ok for me to post this postmortem about the GGS debacle and he said no problem.

I will be short. In the end, Basti agreed to refunding my money if I sent the game back. I took lots of pictures and shipped it. One week later, Basti did refund me via Paypal .

As far as I'm concerned, the case is closed. I have shared hires scans of the cover so people in the future can at least check theirs. It would be very nice to have hires scans of a real version.

Thanks to everyone on this forum, you were very helpful!

Sounds great - and I'm happy for you, David!

@bastibs: I'm impressed. Does that mean that you will also finally refund me the 100 EUR that you took for the copied Pinocchio CDTV?

You wanted to buy this game as seen (privately) and i have known nothing about a possible copy! (i believe i got it from uk)

Later you have sold it on ebay with your account (ville9), although you have called it a copy!

Honestly, I really haven't expected any other reply, Basti.
I just hope that you're going to stop fooling other users...
Refunding the money to david10595 was an (involuntary) start at least.

@ Admins

His account at AmiBay has been unfrozen, as the transaction has been resolved; it's now up to him what happens. We now have transaction feedback up and running on the site, so if anything goes wrong, we will know.

seems you are well known for selling fakes etc for huge prices, there is about 5 emails on the SPS ticket system from you with seemingly wanted items.

Well we don't need his Giana anymore, as we got a fine dump of v1.1 yesterday.

I doubt people who want to have the original boxed game will be satisfied with a dumped disk image.

Well as I sold him my spare disk (did not know about him by then), I also sold the version that could save. We were however lucky to read all tracks needed from my version, so we now do not need the disk he has anymore.

I agree with you - I have the boxed game and would not trade it for the image.

Still nice to know the contents have been preserved.

We also didn't know before that the swapped game or scanned cover counts as a complete copy and our opinions would be so different later.

In addition i wish no contact with guys of SPS anyhow. So no problem.

By the way, at the moment i sell my C64 version of GS! (big box, manual and disk) Furthermore nothing is scanned, all original.

Somebody interests here maybe? For pictures/details write only private messages or e-mails including offer please! Thanks.

Scanned cover != original. There's nothing to discuss about this and nothing to misunderstand either. Except if you WANT to...
