[Found:Ooops Up] Looking for Breakout clone

Hi!

I remember playing a Breakout clone (vertical like Arkanoid) on the Amiga 500 back in the days. The special thing about it was that after each level you got a password. As a bonus some sort of spaceship was evolving bit by bit for each level that was done. It was presented as a fullscreen after each level if I remember correctly.

It must be a more obscure (commercial) title as I could not find it on HOL or Lemonamiga. Also read through alot of postings in this forum with no success so far.

The name might have been one word, but I’m not 100% sure on that.

Looking forward to your findings!

Ooops Up was a game where after each level a spaceship was created bit by bit. It was a pang clone though not a Breakout clone but its probably what you are looking for.

Check out the video below

Yes! That‘s the one.
Memories are a tricky thing. I was sure it was a breakout game.

Thanks for finding it!

Holy 90's flashback Batman! Pretty awesome! Cool music with samples! I never seen this game, pretty cool if I might say. A Pang clone. Thanks for the post!

Demonware who produced this game seemed to have a thing for the band "Snap". They also produced a puzzle game called "The Power" which again featured the Snap song of the same name.

If memory serves me right, the Demonware office was located in the same building where Snap! was produced.

Very interesting and I wasn't aware of that. It would probably explain it though as it would be very easy for them to get the necessary sound samples etc.
