Unhappy .lha/powerpacker woes & others!

First off hi and thanks for any help I receive.

Ok I have a real A600 in which I just upgraded the ROMs to the latest, put in an A601 mem upgrade and 4gb HDD and installed OS 3.1.
Heres the thing, it's been years since I last used workbench so my skills are rusty to say the least.
I grabbed octamed-V6 in .lha format off aminet and want to put it on my harddrive and run it from there.
All I get is the hammer icon and failed return code 10 when I try and run it. Im guessing I somehow need to un-lha it?
I have an A1200 with it working but cant remember how I did it!!!
Anyhow I thought I would try and be clever and copied the octamed folder from the A1200 to the A600 which worked kinda but then left me with the problem that it would'nt open packed mods saying it was unable to unpack, So I deleted it. Now if memory serves I think I need to install some sort of powerpacker thing somewhere?

To summerise, basically all I would like to do is install octamed on my A600 harddrive and be able to unpack mods and stuff.
Any help gladly appreciated, and I hope I dont sound too n00b

Kai

You can get lha from there: http://aminet.net/util/arc/LhA_e138.run it's a self extracting archive and a newer version from http://freenet-homepage.de/aclogic/lha.html but it's an archive itself so you need the old version first.

The powerpacker.library is available on aminet, too: http://aminet.net/util/libs/pplib16.lha

and for everthing else you need take a look at http://aminet.net it's most probably there.

I wish I hadn't been away for so long!

Many thanks
