AmigaBase v2.6

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a place to obtain a download manual for this database program please? A document refers to it being on Aminet, but I cannot find it, only the main download file.

Thank you in advance for any help on this.

You know that "MUIbase" is the successor of AmigaBase? There is also a manual in pdf format included.

Thanks for this tip and I'll check out MUIBase as well then.

You could just contact the author of MUIbase and ask for the documentation. It used to be on Aminet as GS/PDF files, not sure why he had it removed. Maybe he can reupload?

Yes I think I might need to try that as I noticed that MUIBase requires MUI to be installed and needs quite a large amount of free ram to run properly, neither of which I have. Essentially I'm just trying to find a decent database for the Amiga that can be used by lower spec models.

Cheers!

Not easily found, but a Google search revealed that AmigaBase was previously available for download on the old Amiga Arena website (it's NOT on the current live website for whatever reason). Plug the old website address into the Internet Archive's indispensable Wayback Machine, click on the utilities link and voilĂ !

Be warned! MUIBase requires many different MUI libraries etc. where the install will fail if you do not have all of them. I had a bit of a nightmare installing it as it took me about 13 attempts due to not knowing beforehand which MUI add-ons were required to install and this was not indicated anywhere I could see in the documentation!

Thanks for the tip ... I'll stick with AmigaBase for the time being I think
