Wow that is my board, I never expected it to be mentioned here!

(by my board I mean its my team at work that does the firmware for it).

My adwentures with Icaros/AROS from the last few days.

http://aros-exec.org/modules/newbb/v...10857&forum=24

I don't have supported hardware, where i can install Icaros bare metal.
So hosted is the only chance, i can use (or not use at the moment) Icaros.
It's really sad because I really like the system.

Had another go at this last weekend.
This time, instead of trying to install the distribution to the hard disk, I went with the ICAROS live distribution 2.2.8 and installed to USB thumb drive instead.
As soon as I found machines with Intel USB 2.0 controllers, it recognized the keyboard/mouse and usb stick.
It was a surprise to finally boot up with the live CD and also have audio.
Installation to the USB thumb drive was problematic, it took around 5 attempts before it successfully unpacked everything to the thumb drive without hanging.
Audio is still wonky, the Boing! demo has no audio output on the machine I ended up getting it installed on which is connected to a TV with HDMI on an older nvidia card (but Mplayer does have audio playback on this same system...)
The first machine which livebooted OK had the Boing! audio through the onboard motherboard HDA audio. Not sure why audio is working OK with Mplayer but not the boing demo on the 2nd machine.
Neither machine has compatible onboard ethernet, so web browsing is basically out of the question.
I really do like the Janus-UAE integration with Wanderer, though.
