Mini AMP for cd player in A600?
Well hopefully soon I will get that cdrom sorted in my A600 and also get that sram card for it.
Anyway my original plan for it was to have some sort of integrated speakers for the A600. I soon realised this would not be possible without an amplifier. Basically at the moment I have 2 audio outputs. cdrom > RCA connectors amiga > RCA connectors These can be merged with a rca splitter cable. Would it be possible to use a mini amp PCB to get better sounds through mini speakers? Something like: These mini amp pcbs are about 8 quid. I think it would be quite easy to hook one up for the cdrom but not the amiga unless it was external (which I wouldnt want). Any ideas? I know its a bit pointless but I want the A600 to play audio cds at an acceptable level just for the craic. |

You shouldn't really use a splitter cable to mix the outputs, there's a simple mixer circuit to do it on aminet. As far as getting the A600 audio into the amp, it should be possible to desolder the centre pin of the jacks from the board, run one wire from the board to the amp, and then another back from the amp to the centre pin.
