Hello from North Wales

Hi!

I've just decided to get back into the Amiga scene after about 20 years. Recently I'd realised just how much I'd come to regret selling my A1200, so I've decided to start up a bit of a "collection"

Original setup (best as I can remember it, built up over a long time): -

A1200 (my Xmas present in '93)

Viper 68EC030 28MHz accelerator with 8MB Fast RAM

250MB 2.5" Hard Drive

An external floppy drive (99% sure it was an Amitek)

1084S monitor (bought second hand after an Escom-era multisync died after a coupe of months and couldn't be repaired!)

Squirrel SCSI and CD-ROM drive

Stacks of software and magazines

All the above was sadly sold not long after I went to Uni. My new kit is a bit eclectic at the moment...

A1200 (recapped) with 3.1.4 ROMs

A1200 (not yet recapped)

A600 (not yet recapped)

A rather battered A500

A few accessories and bits of software I've yet to catalogue

I've started purchasing various bits like new PSUs, CF2IDE, PCMCIA CF adapters, etc. so I can make these machines more usable in 2021. No doubt I'll be asking the occasional silly question, so your patience will be appreciated

Long live the Amiga! How I wish that bankruptcy of April 1994 had never happened...

Welcome. Nice new collection. It is super fun to re-look at your old computers with ‘new’, but wiser eyes.

As an update, I've now got my main A1200 up and running with an Indivision AGA mk3 and an ACA1221LC, plus a 32GB CF card. The feeling when I installed The Settlers and got that running was almost indescribable! :-)

Right, the feeling i got when i rediscovered Amiga in 2002 was the same ..... unforgettable !
