Games supporting MT-32: do they also use standard audio simultaneously?
Planning to try out the MT-32 with KQ5 and other whdload games supporting MT-32. Do I need to "mix down" both MT-32 and the standard audio, or is the it only MT-32 that will then handle FX also?
Any clues? |

MT32 also issues sfx for all games I've seen. I can't tell because I'm using winuae, but the sounds are clearly high-definition and different from the standard ones.
Just try a game with and without MT32 and compare sfx you'll see Last edited by jotd; 01 April 2021 at 21:28. |

I have a hardware MT32 hooked up to a PC computer running Windows and in my experience not all sounds are emulated. I use a mixer to combine the channels. It works really well FWIW Let me know if you'd like a recommendation for a decent mixer.

For the record, the mixer I use is this: https://www.amazon.com/Maker-Hart-LO...77247551&psc=1
It works perfectly. I highly recommend it. |

nothing prevents from playing MT32 and native sounds at the same time. It's just that I don't think that Sierra games do that. And since they're about the only ones supporting MT32 ...
